Our Team

Trustees

Leigh C. Taylor, B.A., C.G.A., C.I.R.P.

Leigh has over 30 years of experience in the bankruptcy and insolvency field. After graduating from the University of Manitoba in 1969, he began his career as an Official Receiver with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. In 1979 he attained his license as a Trustee in Bankruptcy and in 1986,  achieved his  designation as a Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Leigh has been a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) since 1979. He is a Past-President of the Manitoba Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (MAIRP), the Armstrong Point’s Association, and of the Manitoba Opera. In addition, in the past he has served numerous years as both the Rector’s and People’s Wardens at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, where he is currently a Synod Delegate and can be seen on weekends performing with the Heart’s Refuge worship band.

Bonnie Hooley, B.S.W., C.I.R.P.

Bonnie has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1993 with a degree in Social Work. In 1999 she attained her license as a Trustee in Bankruptcy. In November of 2001, Bonnie obtained her Foundation Studies in Accounting from the Certified General Accountants (CGA). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and Past President of the Manitoba Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (MAIRP).

In her spare time, Bonnie has served on various boards, including K L Investments and Evangel Chapel. She is also much in demand as a guest speaker for business, government and non-profit organizations.

Jillian Taylor-Mancusi, B.A., C.I.R.P.

Jillian has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for over 16 years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1994. She received her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate from Ryerson Polytechnic University in 1998, and in 2007 she attained her license as Trustee in Bankruptcy. Jillian is a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and is currently on the Continuing Education Committee of CAIRP. She is also the current board President of the Manitoba Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (MAIRP).).

Jillian is currently a member of the Holy Trinity Vestry, and serves as the Dance-Out Coordinator for the Manitoba Highland Dancers’ Association. Previously, Jillian has held positions on the Armstrong Point’s Association and the Executive of her local EDA Riding Association.

Estate Managers

Beverley De’Athe

Beverley De’Athe has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for 19 years. She is a graduate of Brandon University. She received her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate from the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) in 1997.

Beverley currently serves as the Director of Music at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She is the former Executive Director of the Tiger Hills Arts Association and the Manitoba Association of Community Arts Councils, a Past-President of the Manitoba Choral Association, the Central Manitoba Choral Association, and the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts. Beverley has served as a volunteer board member with a wide variety of community non-profit organizations.

Karen Mearon

Karen has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for over 15 years. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1990, and from Success/Angus Business College in 1993. Karen received her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate in 2001. Karen is a long-time volunteer with Prairie Theatre Exchange.

Jayne Drul

Jayne Drul has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for over 10 years. She graduated from Red River College in 2010 with her Human Resource Management certificate and in 2011 with the Management Development certificate. Jayne received her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate in 2008. Jayne is member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba (HRMAM).

Janna Thomson

Janna has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field for over six years. Janna is currently working towards a Bachelor of Business and Administration degree from the University of Manitoba. She is focusing her studies on the business stream. Janna received her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate in 2007.

Janna has coached junior high volleyball, and children’s baseball teams. She has volunteered with sandbagging and Share Our Strength Charity fundraisers.

Sel Mancusi

Sel has worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency field since 2002. He received his Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification Certificate in 2008. He began his career in the area of income tax and office management.

In the past, Sel has served as a volunteer leader of both the Alpha and the Alpha Marriage Course. As well, he has served on the Vestry of his Church, and on Sundays, he can be found singing in the worship band.

James Johnston

James holds an M.Phil in Land and Property Economics from Cambridge University, England, and a Double B.A. (Honours) from the University of Winnipeg. Since joining LC Taylor , two years ago, James has begun his CAIRP training as an articling trustee.

With expertise on the link between economic and ecological debt, James is also the Canadian Director for the Centre for the Advancement of the Steady-State Economy, an international research institute. In his spare time, James serves as the Board Chair of Theatre by the River, a professional Winnipeg theatre company, and sings with the Holy Trinity Choir.

Cassie Cupic

Cassie is an estate administrator and has worked with L.C. Taylor & Co. Ltd since January of 2009. She earned her Insolvency Counselor’s Qualification Certificate in 2010 and currently specializes in Consumer Proposals. Her hobbies include networking and travel.
